In ancient Chinese textbook, it says “When you could not get the target, do not try to find the reason outside yourself, but find it inside yourself.” And also “When you are hit by somebody, reward him with virtue, not violence.”
The spirit of Kyudo is to do one’s best to practice and work for the lifetime.

The goal of Kyudo is to achieve truth, goodness, and beauty. Kyudo unites one’s mind, art and body, polishes one’s personality, and enhances one’s virtue through practicing organized martial techniques. It is a way to form a human being who makes much of politeness and contributes to the peace of society.
